Alongside working onsite on projects, Vaughan manages our workshop space and oversees our fleet, working with the team to ensure our vehicles and plant items are regularly serviced and kept in good working order.

He is a qualified roofer and brings a wealth of general construction experience and a practical, ‘can-do’ approach that lends itself to project delivery.

Archie crop.jpg

Archie Hoddinott

Archie is our residential specialist within the service team. He comes to us from the UK, where he completed the requirements for his NZ registration, before emigrating in 2018 and joining Davco. He has a wealth of experience in the residential area, with much of his time in the UK spent on high-end housing.

Archie is completely at home carrying out all residential electrical work, whether small-scale maintenance or repairs, modifications or additions to an existing home or fully wiring a new-build house. He is enjoying being able to apply his skills to commercial work and gaining some more experience of and exposure to industrial electrical work.

He is very organised and efficient, which is particularly valuable in a service role, where he is likely to be booked to complete several jobs within one day.

Michael crop.jpg

Michael Tucker

Michael joined Davco in May 2021, coming from a smaller company where he gained great exposure to a variety of residential and commercial install and maintenance work.

His gentle, courteous manner and tidy work habits make him ideally suited to residential service work for Davco, however he is a keen learner and while his primary focus within the team will continue to be in the residential service/maintenance space, he will work with the other members of the team to build his knowledge and skill in the industrial area.

In addition, Michael will flex to help out with commercial projects as needed.

Luke Barnao

Luke completed his apprenticeship with Davco and developed great all round skills, working on a mix of commercial and industrial projects as well as building out his experience on maintenance and fault finding work.

After completing his apprenticeship, he left Davco to focus on Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) for a time before returning to Davco to put his new skills to good use and continue with broader electrical work.

He is a passionate member of the team who enjoys delivering high quality work and continually striving to further develop his skills, knowledge and expertise.

Dipak Mistry

Dipak joined Davco in August 2021. His key area of expertise is leading a team to deliver large-scale commercial projects, but with strong all round experience and skills he is equally comfortable delivering smaller projects or service work in the downtime between larger projects.

He has a keen eye for detail and is driven to deliver work to an exceptionally high standard, which makes him a great fit at Davco.

With excellent communication and problem solving skills, he is quietly confident and focused on building strong relationships with colleagues and clients alike.

Jimmy has an industrial background and strong experience working on pumps, motors and large machinery, particularly at installation stage.

He is also very experienced with commercial developments and is heavily involved in our large-area lighting and motorway projects as a site supervisor.

Jimmy is meticulous, thorough and well-organised – particular strengths when working across multiple projects that span a long time and need to be completed in discrete blocks, rather than in one go.

Whilst Jimmy is most passionate about project work, his extensive experience and broad base of skills mean he is also well-equipped to support the maintenance team when required.

Graydon joined Davco part way through his apprenticeship in 2018 and seamlessly fitted in as one of the Davco family.

Throughout his apprenticeship he developed skills across the full spectrum of electrical work, with a strong base in commercial new builds and particular focus on industrial and specialist maintenance and install.

He completed his apprenticeship at the end of 2021, and continues with the team as a fully qualified electrician.

Graydon has a wonderful work ethic and remains keen to learn, build on existing skills and apply his knowledge across every aspect of electrical work.

Duncan crop.jpg

Duncan Woomack

Duncan joined the Davco team as a final year apprentice, in 2021, to round out his experience and finish off his apprenticeship. He qualified as an electrician in June 2022 and continues to be a valued part of the team.

Prior to joining Davco, his experience heavily focused on industrial maintenance and he is particularly confident and capable in this area.

With Davco, he splits his time between the project and service teams, supporting the delivery of our key infrastructure and commercial projects and delivering essential service work - particularly planned maintenance and attending any breakdowns for our industrial clients.

He also continues to build his experience more broadly in commercial and residential settings.

Troy Malofy

Apprentice Electrician

Troy joined our team in 2018, to start his electrical apprenticeship, and is on track to qualify during the 2022 year.

During his time at Davco he has been involved with all different types of electrical work and built a sound general base of skills.

He is continuing to build his experience across all aspects of the electrical industry, working with a variety of our qualified team members and across projects as well as service work.

Karl Macdonald

Apprentice Electrician

Karl started his apprenticeship in 2020, with ETCO, and joined Davco as his first placement, and first job after leaving school.

Despite the challenges of starting in the same year as the Covid pandemic, Karl applied himself diligently, taking every opportunity to learn and grow his base set of electrical skills.

He is keen and willing to get exposure to every aspect of the trade as he works to support our team of qualified electricians across the board.

In his second year, he established himself as a key member of the projects team, working to understand the full scope of works and bigger picture, as well as the detail of the electrical work needed to deliver a successful outcome for each project milestone.

Rochelle joined the Davco team in July 2021, as an adult apprentice through ETCO, having made the decision to change career and train as an electrician earlier in 2021.
Her previous work and life experience mean she has arrived at Davco with a strong work ethic and drive.

She is focused and fully embraces all aspects of her apprenticeship, keen to learn and apply knowledge across a broad range of situations and types of work.

Rochelle is organised, efficient and hates to be idle, whilst still remaining a friendly and engaging member of the team.
